Why Microsoft Started With Windows Server
Enterprise storage exposes bottlenecks faster than consumer systems. Multi-controller NVMe devices, high concurrency, and sustained I/O pressure make SCSI translation unacceptable at scale.
That’s why Microsoft:
- Built it for Server 2025
- Shared it with Windows 11 cautiously
- Has not enabled it by default (yet)
